Week 37

Hello all and welcome to our blog.

It is my intention to update this blog once a week so that you can stay informed on how these last few weeks of pregnancy are going and eventually all the changes that will be going on with our daughter.
Mike and I are well aware that once she's born people are going to be significantly less interested in what's going on with the two of us so, rest assured if you come here you will hear mostly about the baby's development and see plenty of pictures of her.

So, this is week 37 of my pregnancy. Approximately 3 weeks left! BabyCenter.com equates our baby to the length of a stalk of swiss chard (19 inches) and about the weight of a crenshaw melon (about 6 lbs.). Good thing I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow because I have no idea what a crenshaw melon looks like.

This is really the first week where I have been uncomfortable so since I have been lucky thusfar, I understand that I really don't have anything to complain about but, if you're curious, my feet and hands are swelling to the point where I had to remove my wedding rings and only really feel comfortable in flip-flops. Luckily we are in sunny San Diego so this is the norm anyway. I have also had some pelvic pain as my pelvis widens in preparation for delivery. But, I know there is more pain in the near future so I'm trying not to complain.

I am attaching a few pictures so you can see what's happened to my former six-pack abs and 22 inch waist (ha ha). Throught the pregnancy people have been telling me I'm small but I recently measured my belly's circumference and it is 41 inches around so, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Take care. See you here next week!
