Maternity Leave

My maternity leave began this week. It's so nice not having to get ready for work everyday. My boss and coworkers had been very supportive and accomodating but just waking up at 6:30am and spending 40 hours away from home was getting exhausting.
I am not expected back to work until August and my intention is to go back only part time at first. My boss was actually the one who suggested this so I am very lucky to be working for someone so understanding. I expect the transition back to be difficult.

However, I will not think about that now. For now I can think only of the days leading up to my labor and delivery. I went to the doctor again yesterday and there has been no change since last week so we are still looking at April, 22nd as the due date and do not expect her to arrive early.

Mike is hoping the baby will be considerate and wait until next weekend to come out because he has 4 tests to study for that are all scheduled for...you guessed it, April 22nd!
His teachers will let him make alternate arrangements of course, but it would be more ideal if the exams were out of the way before the baby is born.

In the meantime, I am spending my days catching up with friends and getting the house ready. I put the finishing touches on the nursery this morning so now all that is left to do is wait...
