Three Months

We were just getting used to referencing Reese's age in terms of weeks and suddenly she's three months old! I think that makes her officially not a newborn anymore.
Although Mike likes this stage best so far, three months is frustrating for me developmentally. Reese is so close to being able to do many things but is not quite there yet.

I think her next milestone will be rolling over. We often find her asleep on her side though she hasn't completely flipped over yet. When she does make it over onto her tummy she may not be thrilled about it. However, she is getting better and stronger during tummy time. Some of the tricks our friend Mary Weck, a physical therapist, showed us are very helpful. Rather than laying face down on the floor, we find creative ways to get her into the prone position. Here she is on Daddy's lap...always a favorite place to be!
This began as a tummy time exercise and then she fell asleep. Hmm...does it count as exercise if you can sleep through it?

I will be really excited when she is able to sit up on her own.

Mike thinks she might be early to stand because of her strong little legs. But, we won't worry about that just yet.
All of this physical activity is a lot for a little girl. It makes her very sleepy...
