Back to Work

Well it's no coincidence that my last blog post was two weeks ago. I have now been back at work for two weeks. Even though I have only been reporting from 8am to 12pm it still changes my whole routine. The first few days were very hard on me. I was really sad to be away from Reese (and Mike). Plus, I am still breastfeeding. Trying to time the feedings in the morning and after work and trying not to let pumping interfere with my work load is a challenge. Every day it gets a little bit easier but I still miss her a lot.

As far as Reese goes though, I think she barely even noticed. She seems to enjoy the one-on-one time with her Dad.

Does this look like the face of someone who misses mommy?

This past week Mike's mom, Jere, was in town visiting us from Idaho. Reese is Jere's 8th grandchild so she's practically a professional. She and Reese took to each other right away.


Jere brought Reese this odd little musical glo-worm that Reese had a very strange/humorous reaction to. Watch her face as she tries to eat this new toy.



In other news, Reese is losing her beautiful, silky, baby hair. Evidently this is normal and it will soon grow back but in the meantime she has strange bald patches.

We are experimenting with hats ...

...and comb overs.
